Syberia 3 syberia 35/20/2023 All of the above, are bugs from 2017, that are never fixed. ESC says it paused the game while it does nothing, dialogues are not skippable. It makes your life difficult, cos sometimes it disappears when you solve a puzzle. Camera stucks all the time, doesn't follow the character. You may try more than two or three times to "hit" the hot spot. Abysmal controls, with mouse or keyboard. If you bought the game, (on sale of course, I don't expect anyone to pay 30 euros for this), and you want a pain in the butt, do play it, like I did. I hope the delay is due to optimization (the demo came out October 2020). It's messed up, performance-wise, but it seems better, in other, more important aspects, such as controls, voice acting, story. I played the demo of "Sybera: The world before". I bought it for 3 euros, so I dived into it, just 2 months before the new one comes out - coming in Ma(in order to keep up with the story and some things I didn't understand playing the demo of Syberia 4). I stayed away from this one, due to bad reviews. Gets boring some times, but it's fun to keep up with. Nothing extraordinary, but has a good pace. Voice acting decent (but not that good, as it was in the first two, even the same actress, isn't that "excited" about it), music is awesome, as always. Not good, not bad, some shadows are poorly made, the settings are offered, are limited. Good memories, one of the very good adventures that have been made! Fast forward in 2017, the third installment, got released. Such an amazing story, such an amazing game in early 00s. Unfortunately that means inadequate PC controls.Īs for the game's bleakness, I adored it. Yeah, it seems pretty obvious that they spent a lot of time making sure that the console versions would control competently. I actually said out loud, "THAT'S IT?!" Completely frustrating! The ending was random, sudden, and very much a let down. Originally posted by SherryMT:I 100% agree. I just hope it won't take long to come out. I do beleive they really did try to make something great. They focus so much on making it "perfect" in terms of the new 3D format that they forgot that what the fans loved most was the story and the simplicity of the game-point and click, true adventure, and interesting puzzles. This one just felt like they were trying to make it something it just isn't.Īnd finally.why did Oscar have to come in the game so late? I really wish they'd have him be a part of it much earlier.Īll in all, I think they felt pressure to just get the game out, half-baked or not, since they delayed so much. I like how the other two games had a little danger but were mostly about a story and building connection with the characters. I'd get another Syberia game ONLY if I read reviews first.Īnd am I the only one who didn't like that this game was so bleak? Kate waking up in a disturbing hospital? Soldiers and some crazy nurse after her? It was just odd. I hate the issues this game had (navigation, choppy play, no way to save, camera views, the list goes on and on).but I will say I'd still love to see the story continue so we can see what happens next (and because the concept of Syberia overall as a series is still great). So yes, I'm hoping there will be a sequel especially so that this amazing series will not have to have such a bad ending. And the things the nurse said made it seem like there was going to be more. Interesting that the soldiers didn't destroy Oscar's heart.
